Writings
As the launch of this website is timed to coincide with the world premiere of the Suite Guernesiaise given by the Guernsey Camerata on October 3rd, 2009, the pieces offered here have mainly to do with the period of German Occupation 1940-1945. A Sojourn in Guernsey and Musings form part of his Memoirs, the rest of which will be added later, together with other writings and memorabilia.
As far as possible the writings have been reproduced in the original handwriting and typescript. There are a few places where something was crossed out, so it had to be omitted, or there were so many alterations and corrections on a page that it had to be re-typed. In the Log Book of Vauvert School some names have had to be changed to protect privacy. All these changes are obvious in the text.
All the documents, both music and writings, will be given to Guernsey Library to be archived within the next year for the benefit of anyone who wants to see them.
